Manila, Philippines. Last December 13, 2018 around 12 MSMEs, including Apung Ota Brownies and Delicacies, from NCR and Luzon graduated from the 2018 Philippine Chamber of Food Manufacturers, Inc. (PCFMI) MSME Mentoring Program which was held at the New World Makati Hotel.
The 6 sessions mentoring program that ran from June to December 2018 have focused on various regulatory requirements and Basic Business Marketing and Financing. Some of the topics discussed includes: FDA Requirements for MSMEs, Food Hygiene and Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Introduction to Plant Operations, Product Packaging and others.
To date, Philippine Chamber of Food Manufacturers, Inc. (PCFMI, or also known as PH Food Chamber) is now the principal organization of the manufacturers and distributors of food products in the Philippines, with the responsibility of providing to the consumers, safe, nutritious and affordable processed food products that are compliant to local and international standards and regulations.
